When Thought Becomes a Crime
Most of us think it would be impossible for our thought to become a crime. If you're like me that might mean big trouble.
Today in many countries of the world, some thoughts committed to paper or put on the internet are considered crimes. In Canada and many European countries, it is a crime punishable by heavy fines and even imprisonment. The crimes can be as simple as criticizing federally protected groups, such as homosexuals and Muslims.
There are at least three people now under arrest in Europe for saying they don't believe 6 million Jews were killed in the Holocaust.
Canadians have been threaten with prosecution for quoting the King James Bible in relation to homosexuality.
In England, two men who publicly described Islam as a "wicked faith" were indicted under Britain's anti-hate law and are fighting to avoid seven years in prison.
Not to be left out this country has sentenced a man to 3 years in prison for telling a joke about a "burning bush", in which he ran afoul of the U.S. law about threatening a President of the U.S.
What all of these laws have in common is that they come to us in the form of "Hate Crime Legislation" with the purpose of protecting some class of people, at the peril of another class of people. In every case they stifle free speech, and the truth can not even be used as a defense.
Hate crimes are a clear violation of our First Amendment rights under the Constitution.
Now here is the problem. "The Local Law Enforcement Enhancement Act," will be reintroduced soon after January 1. Since no Democrat in Congress has ever voted against a hate bill, it will pass. Pres. Bush has said he will sign a "modified" hate bill. If he does, free speech in America will quickly come to an end.
If we had people in public office that loved freedom and the U.S. Constitution, we wouldn't have to worry about this. The problem is we don't. We have people in office that are following a "Globalist" agenda. The "Globalist" want every country to have similar "Hate Crime" laws.
We have to let them know that we are watching, and the cost of voting for "Hate Crime" legislation is going to be high.
Please contact your congress people now. At the very least vote in this online poll, and I will pass the results along to Congress. Visit; www.TownVote.us
Thank You
